Ice cream and E-learning worlds collide at Purple Door!
As former educators, Purple Door owner's Lauren and Steve Schultz are finding it challenging to keep things creative and exciting for their two boys during these homeschool weeks. With education (and ice cream) as our inspiration we have come up with this little gem to help us all get to the other side! Please read below.
Order online your 4-pack of Purple Door pints (currently on sale for $30 rather than $40 for the 4-pack + shipping. Milwaukee customers can opt to pick-up the package at our Walker's Point scoop shop for no charge) and we will include with your shipment an educationally based idea sheet for activities to do at home with ice cream, dry ice, boxes, etc. We will add some ice cream coloring sheets, too. Shipments will begin the week of Monday, March 23rd.
E-learning activity sheets contain between 6-8 activities focused on different subjects. Each sheet will always contain 1 dry-ice experiment. Purple Door will be changing the E-learning sheet every week with new, unique activities in various subject areas to be included in your ice cream order.
Purple Door would also love to see what you have created and learned from the
ice cream E-learning activities.
Please share any photos, ideas or appropriate e-learning videos to
our social media from your ice cream adventures at home. #purpledoorelearning2020

SPECIAL NOTE: There will always be one, new dry ice experiment in each E-learning weekly packet.
Never touch dry ice directly with your hands. It is so cold it can cause burns and frostbite within seconds. You should use padded, insulated gloves when doing the dry ice experiment. Have fun!
